The first place to start is your ActionSprout Dashboard. This should be the first screen you see when you log into the ActionSprout app. Or you can select Dashboard at the top of the left hand menu.
Scroll to the very bottom of the screen until you see the Facebook ads section like this. Make sure the correct ad account is selected from the drop down menu:
You'll want four green check marks to successfully run ads. Especially, if your work is in social or political issues. In the example above, I still need to resolve two issues. It's easy to do so by clicking the green resolve button next to each item.
Here's a quick video on connecting a Business Manager account and resolving that issue:
Every Facebook Page and ad account running social or political issue ads must have a disclaimer set up. This can be set up inside of Business Manager. Click Settings at the top of the page, then authorizations in the left hand menu.
Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see Create and Manage Disclaimers. If you don't see something like the following, you'll need to set up a new disclaimer:
Don't forget to link the new disclaimer to the correct ad account.
If your dashboard says everything is good to go, or you resolved the issues listed and still can't run ads through ActionSprout, you'll want to check your own authorization to run ads for this account.
Facebook asks that everyone on an ad account, promoting political or social content, be authorized. You can check your own authorization here: facebook.com/id
Or inside of Business Manager, click Settings at the top of the page, then authorizations in the left hand menu.
If you are already authorized to run ads for this account, your name will be listed with a green checkmark, along with the other folks authorized:

Try placing an ad inside of Facebook
If you still can't place ads through ActionSprout. Try promoting something directly through Facebook. If you can't advertise directly through Facebook, you won't be able to with ActionSprout. If this is the case, you'll need to figure it out on the Facebook side of things first. Reaching out to Facebook ad support is the place to start.
